Welcome to Brockville Shetlands

The Brockville Shetland Pony Stud is based in a small but very beautiful glen within the Cairngorm National Park in Aberdeenshire just over 1000ft above sea level. The hardiness of our ponies was tested to the full during the last two winters with many feet of snow lying on the ground for 3 months or more.

We breed standard size Shetland ponies ranging in height from 38” to 42”, mainly black, chestnut and bay ponies with a few duns, piebalds and skewbalds.

As well as the Brockville Stud we also breed a few miniature Shetlands under our Athabasca Stud prefix. The senior stallion is Firth Gold ‘n’ Ivory with the foundation mares coming from the Kerswell,New Park & Firth Studs. There is a separate page for the Athabasca ponies.

STUD REDUCTION - After many years breeding top quality standard size ponies we have decided to significantly reduce our breeding stock in the coming year. We therefore have several stallions, mares and fillies for sale and further details can be obtained by contacting us. A selection of them will appear on the for sale page in the coming weeks.
